Take I25 South to Meadows Parkway (exit 184), and go west.  Stay on Meadows for about 3 miles or so. You'll pass The Grange, our community center, on your way.  Past the townhome complex called Morgan's run turn right onto Spring Meadow Circle. Stay on that and the park will be on your right about 1/3 mile into Suncatcher.

Callaway Kite Fly

Labor Day weekend, Callaway,Nebraska. A wonderful weekend of kiting and camping. Take a look at some pics from previous festivals here.

One Sky One World

Second Sunday of October. Sloan's Lake in Denver Colorado. Colorado's oldest kite festival. Info here.

Monthly:

We meet on the second Sunday of every month for an informal kite fly. We are currently flying at Robby Ferrufino Park, 74th & Carr, in Arvada. Flying times pretty much depend on the winds, come as early and stay as late as you like. It's a great way to get to know fellow kite flyers and have a chance to try out kites.

Annual:

Callaway Kite Festival, Callaway Nebraska.

Labor Day Weekend every year. This festival is one of the best ones you will ever attend. The small town of Callaway goes out of their way each year to welcome kite flyers.

We now have a 200 acre flying field with plenty of room to fly, park amd socialize. Winds are normally good, and the variety of kites, sky laundry and people will amaze you.

Kite flyers may camp in the city park, which provides a great place to recover after a long day of flying. Check their website for more info

Kites and Castles, Lake McConaughy, Ogallala Nebraska.

Held either the last weekend of July or the first weekend of August each year. This festival combines kite flying with a sand castle building contest.

Good Winds!!
